PS

Adapt and LeadIQ serve distinct market segments within the lead generation space, with notably different strengths. Adapt excels as a user-friendly, reliable prospecting tool for SMBs, offering superior customer support and consistent data quality, particularly for US-focused companies. Its straightforward interface and quick learning curve make it ideal for teams prioritizing ease of use over advanced features.

LeadIQ, while offering more sophisticated features like territory management and custom fields, struggles with data consistency and user experience. It's better suited for larger enterprises requiring advanced customization and willing to trade off ease of use for more complex functionality. Neither tool offers any kind of native email sequencing functionality and are both effectively just databases.

Advantages of Adapt

Adapt provides better data consistency
We found Adapt's database to be more reliable and consistent, particularly in its US-centric coverage with NAICS filtering options. This is especially important for teams requiring dependable data, as LeadIQ's smaller database showed notable inconsistencies in testing.
Adapt offers a more intuitive user interface
Adapt's interface is cleaner and more user-friendly, with fast-loading pages and intuitive navigation that takes under 30 minutes to master. This contrasts sharply with LeadIQ's dated UI which we found overwhelming and slow to load, often taking over 5 seconds per page.

Advantages of LeadIQ

LeadIQ offers superior territory management capabilities
Unlike Adapt, LeadIQ provides robust territory management features that allow sales teams to assign and manage accounts by geographic regions. This is particularly valuable for larger organizations with distributed sales teams who need to prevent territory conflicts.
LeadIQ has better AI-powered email capabilities

LeadIQ includes AI-powered email composition and personalization features that Adapt lacks entirely. This gives sales teams using LeadIQ an advantage in creating more personalized, effective outreach messages at scale. However, it does lack any kind of native sequencing functionality.

Adapt is best for

 • Individuals and businesses with moderate prospecting volume (200-1000 leads per month)
 • Who need essential prospecting capabilities like verified contact data and granular filtering, particularly for US-based technology companies
 • And/or who want straightforward list building and CRM integration without complex automation requirements

LeadIQ is best for

 • Businesses with a moderate prospecting volume (200-1000 leads per month)
 • Who need verified contact data accuracy and phone verification but can tolerate a smaller overall database
 • And/or who want AI email personalization capabilities while using separate engagement platforms like Outreach or Salesloft

Adapt is less good for

 • Businesses with high prospecting volume (1000-5000 leads per month) requiring deep customization and territory management
 • Who need advanced sales engagement features like native email sequencing and workflow automation
 • And/or who want comprehensive company intelligence with org charts and news tracking capabilities

LeadIQ is less good for

 • Businesses with high prospecting volume (1000+ leads per month) who need comprehensive data coverage and consistent data quality
 • Who need advanced automation capabilities and workflow management for prospecting at scale
 • And/or who need integrated email sequencing and engagement tracking functionality

Functionality
5

Functionality

5/10

Adapt.io provides all the basic functionality an SMB may need, with extensive contact discovery and company filtering options. Also, it has a chrome extension which allows you to integrate linkedin into your lead search. It offers quite a bit of depth in the US region.

There's a bit less customizability as compared to other tools since you can't add custom fields for contacts and don't have access to company news/context which other tools catering to larger businesses may offer. We would also say that it offers less AI automation as compared to other tools. Also, Adapt would definitely have to be used alongside an email automation tool since it doesn't allow you to send emails natively or set up email sequences.

3

Functionality

3/10

LeadIQ's functionality is narrow. When it comes to prospect search, the first hurdle you'll face is the relatively small size of its database compared to some competitors. Additionally, adjacent features around email engagement are omitted entirely meaning that you will need to pay for dedicated outbound tools separately. However, LeadIQ does provide an email/message personalization AI feature which integrates nicely with many outbound platforms.

Ease of Use
7

Ease of Use

7/10

Overall, the web app is quite easy to navigate and has an intuitive UI. It's core prospecting interfaces are familiar amongst competitors making it easy to pick up and its onboarding is relatively straight forward. It would take an average SMB employee less than 30 minutes to master its use.

5

Ease of Use

5/10

LeadIQ's limited feature set means that its web app is relatively easy to navigate. Its prospecting interface is familiar when compared to competitors, however, some interfaces are clunky and cramped and often require a second look to find the data point/button you're hunting for. Overall, it would take an average SMB employee a few hours to master its use.

Look and feel
7

Look and feel

7/10

Adapt.io has quite a simple UI and is easy to navigate. When tested, the search results and web pages were quite fast to load and all the information you need is in one place. However, a user may be slightly overwhelmed with the amount of data in front of them.

2

Look and feel

2/10

LeadIQ's UI feels dated. When tested, we find many pages to be overwhelming and confusingly laid out which made navigation difficult at times despite the overall lack of functionality. Additionally, search pages were often slow to load (occasionally taking >5 seconds to load).

Customisability
5

Customisability

5/10

The web app is customizable such that it allows you to make custom lists and share and save searches, however it may not cater to some options which bigger businesses may be looking for like creating custom fields for contacts or to manage and assign territories. Based on this, Adapt.io seems better suited to smaller SMB's with a moderate prospecting volume.

6

Customisability

6/10

LeadIQ offers a handful of avenues for customisation that would be help to both SMBs and larger enterprises. For example you're able to map additional custom fields when adding contacts to external CRMs/engagement platforms and you're able to manage/assign territories for individual sales agents.

Ease of Setup
8

Ease of Setup

8/10

Adapt offers a 7-day, self-serve free trial for their platform. When tested, we found the initial setup to be simple (taking <15 mins). Additionally, we found that fully customizing the tool would not take long either given the lack of any native sequencing functionality.

7

Ease of Setup

7/10

LeadIQ offers a simple, self-serve free trial for their platform. When tested, we found the initial setup to be very simple (taking <5 mins). Additionally, the lack of native email sequencing functionality means it doesn't take long to get the most out of the platform either. The only areas which do take some time to configure are buried in settings - such as the ability to manage/assign territories for individual sales agents.

Customer Support
8

Customer Support

8/10

Adapt.io's main customer support platform is an in-built chat app which connects you with team members relatively quickly. When testing, we saw a response time between 2-30 minutes.

3

Customer Support

3/10

You can contact a support agent via a live chat widget inside LeadIQ's web app. When tested, we found the default chat bot to be unhelpful and often linking to irrelevant help centre articles. Additionally, when tested, it took over 24 hours to contact a real agent to answer our queries.

However, LeadIQ does provide a detailed help centre which was able to answer almost all basic questions we had in testing.

Integratability
7

Integratability

7/10

Adapt.io natively integrates with quite a few key CRMs (HubSpot., Salesforce) and you can use their API to add any further customizations which may not be natively supported.

4

Integratability

4/10

LeadIQ provides a number of integrations with popular CRMs (Salesforce, Hubspot), email clients (Gmail) and engagement platforms (Outreach, Salesloft). However, we would like to see an API offered (as most competitors do today).

Ease of Migration
7

Ease of Migration

7/10

Adapt.io allows you to export contacts into a csv file or directly onto other CRMs, taking away the manual labour involved in the process.

4

Ease of Migration

4/10

LeadIQ offers self-serve export functionality within its web app.

However, we would like to have seen an API on offer (as many competitors do currently) for direct querying and interaction with the LeadIQ database.
