PS

Amplemarket and Woodpecker represent opposite ends of the sales engagement spectrum. Amplemarket emerges as a sophisticated, AI-powered platform ideal for enterprise teams requiring multi-channel outreach capabilities and advanced prospecting features. Its polished interface, comprehensive sequencing tools, and innovative AI co-pilot make it particularly suited for larger sales teams pursuing high-volume, personalized outreach.

Woodpecker, in contrast, positions itself as a basic email-focused tool better suited for small businesses with simple outreach needs, offering limited functionality across prospecting, sequencing, and analytics.

Advantages of Amplemarket

Amplemarket is significantly more powerful at email sequencing than Woodpecker
While Woodpecker offers basic email sequencing, Amplemarket provides a comprehensive suite. We found Amplemarket's sequencing capabilities include advanced features like LinkedIn integration, voice message cloning, and email warmup - making it particularly valuable for teams needing sophisticated multi-channel outreach capabilities.
Amplemarket's AI capabilities far exceed Woodpecker's offerings
Amplemarket features an advanced AI sales co-pilot (Duo) that automatically discovers leads and crafts custom outbound sequences, while Woodpecker lacks any AI functionality. This makes Amplemarket particularly valuable for teams wanting to leverage AI for personalized outreach at scale.
Amplemarket offers superior prospecting capabilities compared to Woodpecker
Amplemarket's prospecting database provides extensive coverage across US and EMEA regions with comprehensive filtering options, while Woodpecker's basic database showed limited results in testing. This makes Amplemarket particularly valuable for teams requiring reliable lead generation at scale.
Amplemarket provides a significantly better user experience than Woodpecker
Amplemarket offers a minimalist, sleek interface with efficient keyboard shortcuts and quick loading times, while Woodpecker's interface feels unusual and unintuitive. This makes Amplemarket particularly valuable for teams prioritizing user efficiency and modern design.

Advantages of Woodpecker

Woodpecker is significantly easier to set up than Amplemarket
While Amplemarket requires multiple sales demos before granting access and several days of setup time, we found Woodpecker offers a straightforward self-serve trial with minimal setup time of around an hour. This makes it particularly appealing for small businesses or teams wanting to quickly test and implement a sales engagement solution.
Woodpecker offers native SMS capabilities while Amplemarket doesn't
Unlike Amplemarket which lacks SMS functionality, Woodpecker provides native SMS integration in its sequences. This can be particularly valuable for businesses wanting to incorporate text messaging into their multi-channel outreach strategies.

Stackfix Verdict
Functionality
8

Functionality

8/10

Amplemarket is very well rounded tool. It's sequencing functionality is near best in class, as is its prospecting database. Additionally, its AI features are amongst the best we've tested, proving to be legitimately useful and powerful.

5

Functionality

5/10

Woodpeckers functionality is quite basic. From a channel perspective, you're only really getting email and SMS support (LinkedIn requires an external integration). And though we appreciated the native prospecting database, we found it to be very simplistic and of fairly low quality.

Ease of Use
8

Ease of Use

8/10

Amplemarket's interfaces are well designed and intuitive. It's core sequencing and prospecting interfaces are very familiar and easy to use.

6

Ease of Use

6/10

Given its limited functionality, Woodpecker is broadly a simple tool to use. Our only complaint is that many of its interfaces were unintuitive and non-standard (such as its main sequence building interface and its prospecting database interface).

Look and feel
9

Look and feel

9/10

When tested, we find Amplemarket to one of the best designed sales tools on the market. It's interfaces are minimalist, sleek and modern. We especially appreciated the keyboard shortcut options presented. When tested, its search pages were snappy and quick to load (often <1 second) and any AI interfaces which required time were well presented with beautiful loading animations.

4

Look and feel

4/10

Woodpecker's design aesthetic, though modern and light, does feel somewhat unusual. There's a lot of whitespace on pages meaning you'll need to scroll a lot to use the product - it's definitely not for power users. Additionally, interfaces were often unusual and unintuitive to use.

Customisability
8

Customisability

8/10

Amplemarket offers a wide array of channels to customise your experience. Most of these related to Duo, its AI sales copilot. To get the most out of the product, you're able to customise which buying/market signals are relevant to you, define personas & ICPs and also provide clear definitions of you and your competitors (and where your edge lies).

3

Customisability

3/10

Woodpecker doesn't offer many avenues for customization. We would like to have seen more on offer from both an analytics and reports point of view but also we would like ot have seen more AI integration across the product too.

Ease of Setup
3

Ease of Setup

3/10

Frustratingly, Amplemarket does not offer a self-serve option to try out the platform. Instead, you’ll need to trudge through two sales demos before you are able to access their trial. Once access was granted, we found the platform very simple to set up initially, however, there are a lot of details you’ll want to customise (such as personas, competitors etc. for their Duo AI system) that can take several days to complete.

7

Ease of Setup

7/10

Woodpecker offers a self-serve trial meaning you can sign up and use the product with little to no friction. Additionally, given the simplicity of the overall feature set, it only takes around an hour to set the whole product up with few avenues for additional customization beyond that.

Customer Support
6

Customer Support

6/10

You can contact Amplemarket's customer support via a chat widget inside its web app. When tested, we found the initial AI chatbot to be unhelpful, and reluctant to pass over to a human agent. However, its help centre documentation and 'university' guides are very rich and well laid out, answering most questions we had about the product.

6

Customer Support

6/10

Woodpecker primarily offers customer support via a live chat widget inside its web app. When tested, agents were helpful and answered questions concisely, however, response times varied from 30 minutes to hours in some cases.

Integratability
4

Integratability

4/10

Amplemarkets array of integrations covers the basics. It offers integrations with major CRMs (Salesforce, Hubspot) as well as automation platforms like Zapier. We were also pleased to see an API that allows businesses to interact with Amplemarket's leads database directly. However, we would also liked to have seen integrations with external prospecting databases such as Apollo.

5

Integratability

5/10

Woodpecker offers integrations with some CRMs such as HubSpot and Pipedrive as well as connectors such as Zapier. We would like to have seen more native integrations with alternative prospecting databases such as Apollo.

Ease of Migration
6

Ease of Migration

6/10

Amplemarket provides self-serve export functionality within its web app. We were also pleased to see an API that allows businesses to interact with the platform programatically.

5

Ease of Migration

5/10

Woodpecker offers self-serve export functionality from within its web app for contact and analytics data.
