PS

Copper and Less Annoying CRM serve distinctly different market segments within the CRM space. Copper excels with its deep Google Workspace integration and robust pipeline management, making it ideal for growing teams, particularly agencies and consultancies, who need advanced features and are heavily invested in the Google ecosystem. However, its higher price point and complexity may be overkill for simpler needs.

Less Annoying CRM, true to its name, offers a streamlined, user-friendly experience at a lower price point, making it perfect for small teams and solo entrepreneurs who need basic contact and pipeline management without the bells and whistles.

Advantages of Copper

Copper is significantly better at Google Workspace integration
We found Copper's Chrome Extension particularly impressive, allowing users to view tasks, past interactions, and add contacts with one click without leaving Gmail or Google Calendar. While Less Annoying CRM offers basic Google integration, it lacks this seamless workflow capability.
Copper offers substantially more powerful pipeline management
Unlike Less Annoying CRM's basic list-view pipelines, Copper provides flexible pipeline templates for various use cases (sales, customer onboarding, recruitment) with kanban board views. This is particularly valuable for agencies and consultancies managing multiple projects alongside deals.
Copper provides superior workflow automation capabilities
While Less Annoying CRM lacks any automation features, Copper offers email, workflow, and task automation modules. Despite some interface issues, this functionality is crucial for teams looking to scale their operations efficiently.
Copper delivers more comprehensive reporting functionality
Though basic, Copper offers pipeline reports, forecasting, and activity tracking. Less Annoying CRM's reporting is extremely limited, offering only basic activity and task logs without any pipeline analytics or revenue tracking.

Advantages of Less Annoying CRM

Less Annoying CRM is significantly easier to use
We found Less Annoying CRM to be exceptionally straightforward and intuitive with its minimal feature set and simple four-tab interface. While Copper offers more functionality, its interface can be confusing with features hidden in unexpected places (like email analytics in settings) and a cluttered workflow automation module. This makes Less Annoying CRM particularly suitable for small teams who need a simple, no-frills CRM solution.
Less Annoying CRM offers better value for money
At $15 per user/month, Less Annoying CRM provides essential CRM functionality at a fraction of Copper's cost ($134/user/month for advanced features). While Copper locks features like email sequencing and custom reporting behind its highest tier, Less Annoying CRM provides its complete feature set at a single, affordable price point.

Copper is best for

 • Businesses with a low volume of customer interactions (10-50 messages/calls per day)
 • Who need seamless Gmail and Google Calendar integration for tracking conversations and meetings

Less Annoying CRM is best for

 • Businesses with a very low volume of customer interactions (<10 messages/calls per day)
 • Who need basic contact management and task tracking
 • And who want an extremely simple, intuitive interface that any employee can use immediately

Copper is less good for

 • Teams who don't use Gmail
 • Who who have a high volume of customer interactions (>100 messages/calls per day)
 • Or who need advanced marketing automation and reporting capabilities, or custom objects

Less Annoying CRM is less good for

 • Businesses with a moderate to high volume of customer interactions (>10 messages/calls per day)
 • Needing more than basic sales features like workflow automation, lead scoring, or revenue tracking

Stackfix Verdict
Functionality
6

Functionality

6/10

Copper only offers core functionality you need to manage customer relationships, with a standout feature being its seamless integration with Google Workspace and flexible pipelines. You can automate workflows and create website forms to capture leads. However, features like email sequencing and custom reports are only available in the most expensive tier. Natively, you're unable to call customers, directly add contacts from LinkedIn and set up a lead scoring system.

2

Functionality

2/10

LACRM provides very barebones functionality. You can store contacts, track communication, and manage pipelines - but that's about it. You're unable to send emails, access any meaningful reports or automate workflows.

Ease of Use
5

Ease of Use

5/10

Using Copper can be a mixed experience. It's easy to view tasks, past interactions, and add contacts directly from Gmail or Google Calendar. However, some workflows are less intuitive. For instance, enrolling contacts in an email sequence requires some digging, and the workflow automation module feels cluttered. Oddly, email campaign analytics are tucked away in the "settings" page.

9

Ease of Use

9/10

Thanks to its minimal features, LACRM is extremely straightforward and intuitive. It only has four main tabs: Workspace, Contacts, Calendar, and Reports. Any SMB employee can set it up and start using it immediately.

The only drawback is that pipelines are found under "Reports" and are viewable only as a list, not as a board.

Look and feel
7

Look and feel

7/10

We find Copper's interface to be visually acceptable. Most views are quite plain and compact, but can be delightful at times (e.g. a "zen" image when you've cleared all your tasks!) It also has fast page load times (1-2 seconds).

7

Look and feel

7/10

The software is clear, clean, and fast-loading, though it feels a bit visually uninspiring.

Customisability
6

Customisability

6/10

Copper tries to offer flexibility in adapting pipelines for both sales and non-sales use cases, such as creating "project" pipelines for managing client projects. However, it lacks the ability to add custom objects, limiting its usefulness for tracking items beyond people and companies, like "candidate" cards for a recruitment pipeline (which is possible in all-in-one CRMs such as Attio). Additionally, non-sales pipelines still include irrelevant sales-related fields, such as win probability and value.

6

Customisability

6/10

You can customize some aspects, like setting up custom pipelines, adding custom fields, and saving custom filters. It's useful for tracking non-sales activities like job applicants or partners. However, it doesn't offer custom objects or reports.

Ease of Setup
7

Ease of Setup

7/10

Copper offers a free trial without need to speak to sales. Completing basic setup is simple, taking around 10 minutes to import contacts andset up pipelines. Fully setting up the platform is also straightforward, (e.g. downloading Copper's Chorme Extension and setting up automation) and can be largely done within 1-2 business days.

9

Ease of Setup

9/10

LACRM offers a simple, self-serve free trial. Initial set up (e.g. importing contacts via CSV/ syncing from Google or Outlook, syncing calendar) was largely simple, although slightly confusing since setting up a pipeline is found under the "reports" module. Due to LACRM's barebones functionality, fully customising will take no time - can be done within an hour.

Customer Support
8

Customer Support

8/10

Copper provides in-app live chat with friendly, responsive human agents during US business hours, usually replying within minutes. They go above and beyond to assist and guide you through the product. The self-serve support is decent, but we noticed some broken links, likely due to rapid product updates.

7

Customer Support

7/10

LACRM only offers support via email/ phone. There's no built-in live chat on the platform. However, online resources are easy to use, and helpful support videos are available.

Integratability
6

Integratability

6/10

Copper offers pre-built integrations with most relevant 3rd party products (though a smaller set compared to competitors) and an API that allows buyer to build own integrations where necessary. However, note that integrations are limited to more expensive Professional and Business plans.

4

Integratability

4/10

LACRM offers 25 pre-built integrations with tools like Google and Outlook Calendar, Mailchimp, and calling software. However, it lacks integration with many software categories, such as customer support, data enrichment, and analytics software. It does offer an API for custom integrations.

Ease of Migration
8

Ease of Migration

8/10

Close allows users to export key data via self-serve. Export of most other data are also available via API or on request.

8

Ease of Migration

8/10

You're able to export your list of contacts and pipeline leads with one-click. It also offers an API for other custom exports.
