PS

In our comprehensive testing, Lemlist and FlashRev serve distinctly different market segments within the sales engagement space. Lemlist emerges as the superior choice for small to medium-sized businesses prioritizing ease of use and quick setup, with its streamlined interface and responsive customer support.

However, FlashRev shows greater strength in functionality, particularly excelling in phone-based outreach with features like parallel dialing and whisper coaching. While Lemlist offers better customization options and support, FlashRev provides a more comprehensive multi-channel engagement approach, especially for teams heavily focused on phone outreach. For SMBs prioritizing email outreach and needing a simple, supported solution, Lemlist is the better choice. For medium-sized enterprises requiring robust phone capabilities and multi-channel engagement, FlashRev would be more suitable.

Advantages of FlashRev

FlashRev offers more comprehensive channel support than Lemlist
FlashRev natively supports email, LinkedIn, SMS, and phone calls, while Lemlist only offers native support for email and LinkedIn. This broader channel support makes FlashRev more suitable for teams needing to engage prospects across multiple communication channels.
FlashRev is significantly better at phone-based outreach than Lemlist
While Lemlist requires third-party integration for phone capabilities, FlashRev offers a powerful native dialer with advanced features like parallel calling and whisper coaching. This makes FlashRev particularly valuable for sales teams that rely heavily on phone outreach and need to maximize their calling efficiency.
FlashRev has better sequence building capabilities than Lemlist
FlashRev's sequencing functionality offers richer features and more channel options compared to Lemlist's basic approach. We find it more suitable for teams requiring sophisticated multi-channel outreach campaigns.
FlashRev provides better analytics capabilities than Lemlist
While neither product excels in analytics, FlashRev offers a more comprehensive suite including both email and phone metrics, whereas Lemlist's analytics are very basic and limited to email-centric data. This makes FlashRev more suitable for teams needing broader performance insights.

Stackfix Verdict
Functionality
7

Functionality

7/10

FlashRev offers a fairly rounded set of functionality. On the engagement front, you get all the core channels you'd expect including email, SMS, LinkedIn and phone (the latter also comes with a lot of add ons including parallel dialling and live whisper coaching). Additionally, we were pleased to find a strong native contact database too. Our only critique is that the analytics suite is relatively light.

4

Functionality

4/10

Lemlist is feature light. It only provides support for email, LinkedIn and phone call steps in its sequences (and for the latter you'll need a 3rd party integrations). Similarly though it does provide a native contact database, it lacks the depth and quality of some competitors. Additionally, its anlytics suite is basic and lacks customizability too.

Ease of Use
7

Ease of Use

7/10

FlashRev's web app is intuitive and easy to navigate. Additionally, its onboarding was simple and not overwhelming. It's core sequence building and analytics pages are intuitive and easy to get acquainted with. It would take an average SMB employee less than 30 minutes to master its use.

7

Ease of Use

7/10

Lemlist's web app is simple and intuitive to use. It's core sequence building interface is well laid out and very familiar - even complex branching logic can be implemented with relative ease. However, certain interfaces, such as the prospecting interface, are cumbersome to use.

Look and feel
5

Look and feel

5/10

FlashRev's design is fairly middle-of-the-road. It won't win any awards for creativity or simplicity but it remains fairly intuitive to use across both its core prospecting and sequencing interfaces. When tested, pages were relatively fast to load too (around 1-2s).

5

Look and feel

5/10

Lemlist's design aesthetic is modern, clean and easy on the eyes. However, we noticed some elements of the UI were often positioned poorly or cut off by other components - for example, the inability to close toast messages was particularly annoying on many occasions. Additionally, we encountered some bugs in testing - such as the inability to load some community template sequences.

Customisability
6

Customisability

6/10

FlashRev offers a number of channels for customisation, including basic ways such as creating custom searches in the prospecting database. There are also some deeper levels which you can customise your experience such as by providing their AI with ICPs and details about your value offering which can then be used to improve the output of AI generated emails and sequences.

5

Customisability

5/10

Lemlist offers most of the standard facets for product customization. For example, you're able to create and save custom sequence templates for your team to use. Additionally, you can create custom dashboards in their analytics suite (though we did find the overall ability to customize individual graphs or datapoints to be restrictive).

Ease of Setup
5

Ease of Setup

5/10

FlashRev offers a free trial for their platform (though it's unclear what plan you're on). When tested, we found the initial setup to be simple (taking <10 mins). Additionally, connecting email addresses to their outbound platform was relatively trivial too - with a one click connect feature for popular providers like Google and Outlook. However, when choosing a paid plan, their pricing model is somewhat confusing with it being unclear what features are provided on each plan.

8

Ease of Setup

8/10

Lemlist offers a simple, self-serve free trial for their platform. When tested, we found the initial setup to be simple (taking <10 mins). Additionally, connecting email addresses to their outbound platform was relatively trivial too - with a one click connect feature for popular providers like Google and Outlook.

Customer Support
3

Customer Support

3/10

You can contact FlashRev's support via a live chat widget in their web app. When tested, the initial experience with the AI chatbot is poor, with it failing to answer many basic questions. Additionally, it proved difficult to connect with a real support agent (over 1 day). We also found their help centre docs to be somewhat overwhelming when searching for basic terms.

7

Customer Support

7/10

Lemlist's primary means for customer support is via a live chat widget within their web app. It was quick and simple to contact a real support agent (often <5 mins) and when tested, we find them to be helpful and about to troubleshoot technical questions often in the first response.

Integratability
3

Integratability

3/10

Though FlashRev does provide integrations with core CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce), automation platforms (Zapier) and email providers (Gmail, Outlook) - we would like to have seen native integrations with more established lead sources such as Apollo as well as an API.

5

Integratability

5/10

Lemlist provides a number of integrations with popular CRMs (Salesforce, Hubspot) and automation platforms like Zapier. However, we were disappointed to see a lack of integration with more popular lead sources such as Apollo or ZoomInfo.

Ease of Migration
4

Ease of Migration

4/10

FlashRev offers self-serve export functionality to CSV for contact lists and other datapoints via their web app. They don't currently offer an API.

6

Ease of Migration

6/10

Lemlist offers self-serve export functionality within its web app.

Additionally, Lemlist offers a well-documented API through which businesses are able to interact with their database directly.
