PS

HubSpot Sales Hub and Twenty represent opposite ends of the CRM spectrum. HubSpot is a comprehensive, feature-rich platform ideal for companies needing sophisticated marketing automation, detailed analytics, and extensive third-party integrations. It's best suited for growing businesses that can invest time in platform training and want a full-featured CRM ecosystem.

Twenty, conversely, is a strong fit for technical teams who prioritize simplicity and customization control. Its modern interface and open-source nature make it ideal for developer-heavy organizations that want to build their own CRM experience, despite lacking many standard CRM features.

Advantages of HubSpot Sales Hub

HubSpot is vastly superior in marketing automation
HubSpot's marketing automation capabilities are best-in-class, offering sophisticated multi-channel campaign management that Twenty completely lacks. We found HubSpot enables teams to create and A/B test marketing emails, track website visitors, manage social media, and customize web forms - essential features for companies with inbound marketing strategies.
HubSpot provides far more comprehensive reporting
While Twenty lacks reporting capabilities, HubSpot offers extensive analytics and visualization options. We found HubSpot's reporting to be second only to Salesforce, making it ideal for teams that need deep insights into sales performance and pipeline metrics.
HubSpot offers significantly more powerful workflow automation
HubSpot provides extensive automation capabilities that Twenty doesn't match. During testing, we found you can create complex cross-platform workflows, automatically enroll contacts in sequences, and even use AI to automate tasks. This is particularly valuable for teams looking to scale their operations efficiently.
HubSpot has superior native integrations
HubSpot's vast ecosystem of over 350 native integrations makes it much more accessible for teams wanting to connect their CRM with other business tools without custom development, giving us a wide range of options for seamless integration.

Advantages of Twenty

Twenty is significantly more intuitive to use
With minimal features and keyboard shortcuts, Twenty offers a much cleaner, more intuitive interface compared to HubSpot's overwhelming feature set. This makes Twenty particularly suitable for teams who want to get up and running quickly without extensive training.
Twenty offers a more modern, premium user interface
Twenty's Notion-inspired interface feels contemporary and premium, with quick page loads (1-2 seconds), whereas HubSpot's interface is described as tired and overwhelming. This makes Twenty more appealing for teams who value a clean, modern user experience.
Twenty provides better technical customization potential
As an open-source platform, Twenty offers complete control over customization for technically skilled teams. While HubSpot is also highly customizable, Twenty's open-source nature provides more fundamental control for developers.

Stackfix Verdict
Functionality
9

Functionality

9/10

<p>HubSpot offers all functionality that most companies will need, besides functionality required by the largest/ most sophisticated companies. For example, HubSpot's reporting functionality and ability to build highly customised workflows aren't on par with Salesforce's.</p>
3

Functionality

3/10

<p>Twenty is more of a sophisticated customer database, rather than a CRM. It only offers basic features like contact storage, communication tracking, pipeline management, and task creation. However, it lacks email, call, analytics, and automation capabilities.</p>
Ease of Use
3

Ease of Use

3/10

<p>HubSpot is so packed with features and customisation options that it will take an average SMB employee at least a week to learn how to navigate the platform. Even if you're only using HubSpot CRM, you'll see irrelevant modules and fields form other products in its suites everywhere, which can get quite confusing. But once you're past the initial learning curve, most key processes can get quite intuitive.</p>
8

Ease of Use

8/10

<p>With minimal features and keyboard shortcuts, Twenty is generally intuitive and quick to navigate. However, some key workflows can be more complex for non-technical users. E.g. assigning a deal owner requires configuring "relation types" in the data model settings.</p>
Look and feel
4

Look and feel

4/10

<p>We find HubSpot's interface to be tired and overwhelming compared to the newer CRMs on the market. There is often an overwhelming amount of actions you can take on a single screen, which makes it difficult to locate key information at times.</p>
8

Look and feel

8/10

<p>Inspired by Notion, Twenty feels modern and premium. Interactions are sleek, and pages load quickly (1-2 seconds).</p>
Customisability
9

Customisability

9/10

<p>HubSpot offers the highest degree of customisability out of all CRMs besides Salesforce.&nbsp; You can create complex workflows via code, and fully customise fully customize the design of client-facing assets, such as emails and webpages.</p>
9

Customisability

9/10

<p>Being open-source, you can fully customize Twenty if you have the technical know-how. Even out-of-the-box, you can configure the data model, add custom objects, and create custom views. However, by default, it lacks some data storage types like checkboxes and formulas.</p>
Ease of Setup
3

Ease of Setup

3/10

<p>HubSpot's free trial is available without having to speak to sales. Basic setup - importing contacts and creating pipelines - takes about 10 minutes. However, its extensive features and complex settings mean full customization can take weeks, especially for advanced settings like custom objects, chatbots, and automation. Many users we've talked to ended up hiring a HubSpot consultant for implementation. HubSpot's pricing structure adds another layer of complexity, with multiple plans and bundles to navigate during upgrades.</p>
4

Ease of Setup

4/10

<p>Twenty offers a self-serve free trial. Thanks to Twenty's familiar spreadsheet-like layout, we found the initial setup to be extremely simple (taking &lt;5 mins). You can connect your email with a few clicks, and all your contacts sync automatically. With that said, fully customising the platform can take a long time &amp; technical effort, since Twenty's open-source nature means you can adapt Twenty to your exact business needs with code. </p>
Customer Support
6

Customer Support

6/10

<p><span style="color: rgb(9, 9, 11);">HubSpot's support team responds via live chat/ email in less than 3 minutes, 24/7. </span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(9, 9, 11);">That said, you don't get access to their phone/ video support, unless you pay for Professional/ Enterprise, and now if you're signed up to their discounted startup plan. We also find their support sometimes frustratingly bureaucratic - you can only speak with the assigned rep in your territory.</span></p>
7

Customer Support

7/10

<p>You can contact support via live chat within the platform, with responses typically within an hour. However, its documentation is basic and geared more towards technical teams.</p>
Integratability
10

Integratability

10/10

<p>HubSpot offers native integrations with the overwhelming majority of 3rd part products a company will want to connect their CRM with, plus an ever-growing marketplace of more than 350 free and paid-for apps.&nbsp;&nbsp; The chances are that if you need a particularly integration and HubSpot don't have it, it will unlikely be provided by a competitive product.</p>
8

Integratability

8/10

<p>Twenty CRM has no pre-built integrations; you'll need to use its API or Zapier. However, its API is flexible and powerful, enabling seamless integrations with most systems.</p>
Ease of Migration
8

Ease of Migration

8/10

<p>HubSpot allows users to export key data data via self-serve. Export of most other data are also available via API or on request.</p>
8

Ease of Migration

8/10

<p>You can export key information, including contacts and custom objects, to CSV. Its API also allows for seamless data export.</p>
