PS

Lemlist and LeadFuze serve distinctly different needs in the lead generation space. Lemlist excels as an outbound sequencing platform with an integrated (though basic) prospecting database, making it ideal for SMBs focused primarily on email outreach who need basic prospecting capabilities.

LeadFuze, conversely, is better suited for teams requiring robust prospecting and company research capabilities but who already have separate tools for email engagement. Neither tool provides a complete solution - Lemlist lacks in prospecting capabilities while LeadFuze requires significant integration with other tools for core sales engagement features.

Advantages of LeadFuze

LeadFuze is significantly better at contact database search
We found LeadFuze's prospecting interface to be more intuitive and user-friendly compared to Lemlist's clunky and cumbersome interface. During testing, LeadFuze's database of over 500M contacts proved more reliable in finding verified contact information, while Lemlist often failed to return results for basic searches.
LeadFuze offers superior automated list building
LeadFuze's FuzeBot provides automated prospect list building capabilities, which is particularly valuable for teams needing consistent lead generation. Lemlist lacks this automation feature entirely, requiring manual list building which we found to be buggy and unreliable.

Advantages of Lemlist

Lemlist is significantly better at email sequencing
While testing Lemlist's outbound sequencing capabilities, we found it to be well-executed and feature-rich, offering multi-channel engagement across email, LinkedIn, and phone. In contrast, LeadFuze lacks native email sequencing functionality entirely, requiring third-party integrations for this core sales engagement feature.
Lemlist offers more comprehensive customer support
Lemlist provides quick access to real support agents (often <5 minutes) through their live chat widget, with technical issues often resolved in the first response. LeadFuze's support is less immediate, with response times between 1-3 hours, making it less suitable for teams needing rapid technical assistance.

LeadFuze is best for

 • Businesses with moderate prospecting volume (200-1000 leads per month)
 • Who need a straightforward contact database with automated list building via AI bot
 • And/or who want core CRM integrations but plan to use separate tools for email outreach and engagement

Lemlist is best for

 • Businesses with a low prospecting volume (50-200 leads per month)
 • Who need robust multi-channel outbound sequencing capabilities
 • And/or who only need based basic prospecting functionality integrated with their outbound sequencing tool

LeadFuze is less good for

 • Businesses with high prospecting volume (1000+ leads per month) who need comprehensive lead generation capabilities
 • Who need native email sequencing, lead scoring, and advanced workflow automation without third-party integrations
 • And/or who need advanced data quality controls like verification status tracking, data freshness monitoring, and partial record enrichment

Lemlist is less good for

 • Businesses with high prospecting volume (1000+ leads per month) who need comprehensive data enrichment and reliable lead generation
 • Who need advanced account-based prospecting capabilities and detailed company profiles
 • And/or who need advanced list building features like territory management and lead scoring

Stackfix Verdict
Functionality
3

Functionality

3/10

At the core of it LeadFuze is simply a contacts database with standard filtering options based on location, company size and role. They have an AI powered sales assistant which allows you to add a certain amount of leads to your list on a daily basis but apart from this there's not much more which is exceptional about the tool overall.

You can't even natively send email sequences, you'd need to integrate with a third party and there aren't many buyer signal metrics.

6

Functionality

6/10

Lemlist is not your typical lead generation tool. Instead, it's core functionality is outbound sequencing and as part of that, there's a native prospecting tool built in. Though Lemlist's contact database is large (450M contacts) and the filters it provides are granular - we find it to be inaccurate and cumbersome to use. In many case, it failed to provide emails for our usual test searches. That being said, Lemlist's outbound functionality is well executed and feature rich.

Ease of Use
6

Ease of Use

6/10

Since it's quite a simple tool, the interface is intuitive and all the features/filtering options are visible and easy to find. The onboarding is not overwhelming and would take a user around 30 minutes to get familiar with the setup.

3

Ease of Use

3/10

We find Lemlist's web app to be well laid out and intuitive to navigate. However, certain interfaces, such as the prospecting interface, are cumbersome to use. Additionally, list building interface was particularly buggy and confusing to use - often displaying error messages with no clear action for the user to resolve.

Look and feel
4

Look and feel

4/10

Has a minimalistic design and is pretty neatly laid out. However, the setup itself is a bit too simplistic as compared to other tools and could do with a more enriching user experience.

4

Look and feel

4/10

Lemlist's design aesthetic is modern, clean and easy on the eyes. However, we noticed some elements of the UI were often positioned poorly or cut off by other components - for example, the inability to close toast messages was particularly annoying on many occasions.

Customisability
2

Customisability

2/10

It allows filtering through advanced search criteria allowing you to input keywords but apart from that you can't customise anything else like adding custom fields to contacts or sharing lists.

5

Customisability

5/10

While Lemlist offers the ability to create custom lists, it lacks some customisability facets that larger businesses may find helpful. For example the ability to manage and assign territories to specific sales agents or score leads.

Ease of Setup
5

Ease of Setup

5/10

LeadFuze offers a self-serve free trial for their platform. When tested, we found the initial setup to be more complex than needed (taking >10 mins). However, the lack of any native email sequencing functionality means it doesn't take long to get the most out of the platform despite the initial friction.

8

Ease of Setup

8/10

Lemlist offers a simple, self-serve free trial for their platform. When tested, we found the initial setup to be simple (taking <10 mins). Additionally, connecting email addresses to their outbound platform was relatively trivial too - with a one click connect feature for popular providers like Google.

Customer Support
6

Customer Support

6/10

There is an option which allows you to chat to the customer support team which may reply between 1-3 hours and has a pretty extensive knowledge base which you can search through and a sparsely populated user guide.

7

Customer Support

7/10

Lemlist's primary means for customer support is via a live chat widget within their web app. It was quick and simple to contact a real support agent (often <5 mins) and when tested, we find them to be helpful and about to troubleshoot technical questions often in the first response.

Integratability
6

Integratability

6/10

Integrates with a bunch of useful tools like Zapier, salesforce, HubSpot and mailshake but mostly relies on these integrations for providing additional functionality which is sometimes already included in a lead generation tool, like email sequencing and adding contacts from linkedin.

5

Integratability

5/10

Lemlist provides a number of integrations with popular CRMs (Salesforce, Hubspot) and automation platforms like Zapier. Additionally, it offers an API through which users can interact with Lemlist's database directly. However, we were disappointed to see a lack of integrations with external sales engagement platforms such as Salesloft or Outreach.

Ease of Migration
5

Ease of Migration

5/10

You can export lead data in multiple formats and integrates with popular CRM tools which enable direct data transfer without manual exports. However there's a size limitation on lists which can be exported based on the plan that you're on and has a credit based system where each lead export consumes credits and the system may hit the maximum volume of data exports for users on low-tier plans quite quickly.

6

Ease of Migration

6/10

Lemlist offers self-serve export functionality within its web app.

Additionally, Lemlist offers a well-documented API through which businesses are able to interact with their database directly.
