PS

RocketReach and LeadFuze are comparable, no-fuss database products. RocketReach excels with its superior contact database search capabilities and data verification, making it ideal for teams prioritizing precise prospect targeting and data accuracy. It's particularly well-suited for SMBs needing quick deployment with its 15-minute learning curve.

LeadFuze, while having a steeper learning curve, offers stronger automation features and better list management capabilities, making it more suitable for sales teams with complex prospecting operations who need robust automation and territory management. Both tools have limitations in outbound functionality and require integration with dedicated CRM/email engagement platforms for full effectiveness.

Functionality
3

Functionality

3/10

At the core of it LeadFuze is simply a contacts database with standard filtering options based on location, company size and role. They have an AI powered sales assistant which allows you to add a certain amount of leads to your list on a daily basis but apart from this there's not much more which is exceptional about the tool overall.

You can't even natively send email sequences, you'd need to integrate with a third party and there aren't many buyer signal metrics.

5

Functionality

5/10

RocketReach is a no-frills lead generation tool. It's prospecting interface provides some of the most granular filtering options out of any product on the market. Additionally, the size of its contact database ranks as one of the largest amongst competitors.

However, RocketReach lacks many common outbound features that you might expect to see. Though it does provide the ability to reach out to leads one email at a time or automate reach out to multiple leads through its AI - you are not able to create email sequences meaning that most businesses will want to use a dedicated engagement platform alongside RocketReach.

Ease of Use
6

Ease of Use

6/10

Since it's quite a simple tool, the interface is intuitive and all the features/filtering options are visible and easy to find. The onboarding is not overwhelming and would take a user around 30 minutes to get familiar with the setup.

8

Ease of Use

8/10

RocketReach's limited functionality makes it simple to use. Its prospecting interfaces are familiar and intuitive. Additionally, its email features are simple and easy to use too. It would take an average SMB employee under 15 minutes to master its use.

Look and feel
4

Look and feel

4/10

Has a minimalistic design and is pretty neatly laid out. However, the setup itself is a bit too simplistic as compared to other tools and could do with a more enriching user experience.

5

Look and feel

5/10

RocketReach's web app is simple and easy to navigate. However we did find the design aesthetic to feel dated and and handful of views to be overflowing and cramped with excessive information. Though most pages were fast to load, some searches were slow to render (often >5s).

Customisability
2

Customisability

2/10

It allows filtering through advanced search criteria allowing you to input keywords but apart from that you can't customise anything else like adding custom fields to contacts or sharing lists.

3

Customisability

3/10

While RocketReach offers the ability to create custom lists, it lacks some customisability facets that larger businesses may find helpful. These include the ability to save and share custom searches with colleagues or to manage and assign territories to specific sales agents.

Ease of Setup
5

Ease of Setup

5/10

LeadFuze offers a self-serve free trial for their platform. When tested, we found the initial setup to be more complex than needed (taking >10 mins). However, the lack of any native email sequencing functionality means it doesn't take long to get the most out of the platform despite the initial friction.

7

Ease of Setup

7/10

RocketReach offers a simple, self-serve free trial for their platform. When tested, we found the initial setup to be simple (taking <10 mins). Additionally, connecting email addresses to their outbound platform was relatively trivial too - with a one click connect feature for popular providers like Google and Outlook.

Customer Support
6

Customer Support

6/10

There is an option which allows you to chat to the customer support team which may reply between 1-3 hours and has a pretty extensive knowledge base which you can search through and a sparsely populated user guide.

3

Customer Support

3/10

You can contact RocketReach's customer support via a live chat widget inside their web app. At first, you'll be greeted by an AI bot which, when tested, we found to be relatively unhelpful and eager to hand you off to irrelevant help centre articles. However, it is fairly easy (<2 mins) to reach a real support agent if within their operating hours. Though once we were in touch, we found agents to lack knowledge about complex questions and often leaning on providing irrelevant help centre links for answers.

Integratability
6

Integratability

6/10

Integrates with a bunch of useful tools like Zapier, salesforce, HubSpot and mailshake but mostly relies on these integrations for providing additional functionality which is sometimes already included in a lead generation tool, like email sequencing and adding contacts from linkedin.

5

Integratability

5/10

RocketReach provides a number of native integrations with popular CRMs (Salesforce, Hubspot), sales engagement platforms (Outreach, Salesloft) and automation platforms like Zapier. Additionally, it offers an API through which users can interact with RocketReach's database directly.

Ease of Migration
5

Ease of Migration

5/10

You can export lead data in multiple formats and integrates with popular CRM tools which enable direct data transfer without manual exports. However there's a size limitation on lists which can be exported based on the plan that you're on and has a credit based system where each lead export consumes credits and the system may hit the maximum volume of data exports for users on low-tier plans quite quickly.

5

Ease of Migration

5/10

RocketReach offers self-serve export functionality for both contacts and companies. Additionally, RocketReach offers an API through which businesses are able to interact with their database directly.
