Advantages of Mailchimp

Mailchimp has better integration capabilities
With over 350 pre-built integrations and robust API support, Mailchimp offers significantly broader integration options compared to Mailmodo. This makes it easier to connect with various business tools and create a more cohesive marketing tech stack.
Mailchimp is significantly more comprehensive in marketing capabilities
While Mailmodo focuses primarily on email marketing, Mailchimp offers a full suite of marketing tools including SMS, social media scheduling, and website building capabilities. This makes Mailchimp particularly valuable for businesses needing an all-in-one marketing solution rather than just email marketing.
Mailchimp offers superior customization options
Mailchimp provides more extensive customization capabilities across its platform, from email design to analytics dashboards. Unlike Mailmodo's limited customization options, Mailchimp allows users to deeply personalize their marketing materials and reporting views.

Advantages of Mailmodo

Mailmodo is significantly easier to use for email marketing
Mailmodo offers a more straightforward experience than Mailchimp. We found that most startup employees would need just 1-2 hours to become proficient with key features, making it ideal for teams who want to get started quickly with email marketing. In contrast, Mailchimp has a steeper learning curve due to its broader feature set.
Mailmodo offers superior form creation capabilities
With more advanced form building features, Mailmodo provides greater value for marketing teams needing sophisticated lead capture forms. Our testing found Mailmodo's native drag-and-drop form builder includes both basic elements and advanced options like custom CSS/JS and countdown timers, making it particularly valuable. Mailchimp's form builder, while functional, offers more basic customization options.
Mailmodo has better customer support
Mailmodo provides reliable in-app live chat with quick response times, while offering a comprehensive self-serve help center. Mailchimp offers more extensive support, but Mailmodo's support is more focused on email marketing specifics, which can be more valuable for teams needing specialized assistance.

Functionality
7

Functionality

7/10

<p>Mailchimp offers a wide range of marketing tools that cover most needs of SMBs. This includes email and SMS marketing, social media management, multi-channel campaigns, a website builder, and segmentation and customization options. The platform also has some nifty AI features to enhance marketing efforts and provides decent analytics. However, at times, certain features feel slightly bare bones. For instance, there aren't many email templates, and for a full-suite email marketing platform, we would have liked to see more automation templates as well.</p>
