Zoho Recruit and Teamtailor serve distinctly different needs in the ATS market. Zoho Recruit is better suited for cost-conscious organizations with international teams, offering comprehensive functionality at a competitive price point with support for 27 languages.

However, Teamtailor is the superior choice for companies prioritizing candidate experience and ease of use, with its outstanding careers page customization, intuitive interface, and flexible hiring workflows. The key differentiator is Teamtailor's modern, user-friendly approach versus Zoho's more traditional, feature-rich but complex interface.

Advantages of Teamtailor

Teamtailor provides superior customer support
With excellent in-app support during UK and US hours and consistently helpful human agents, Teamtailor offers significantly better customer service than Zoho Recruit's subpar support with slow response times.
Teamtailor offers vastly superior careers page customization
While Zoho Recruit only offers basic customization options, Teamtailor provides a best-in-class careers page builder with features like team stories, candidate chat, and extensive styling options. This makes it ideal for companies prioritizing employer branding and candidate experience.
Teamtailor enables role-specific interview pipelines
Unlike Zoho Recruit which forces all positions to use the same interview pipeline, Teamtailor allows teams to create customized pipelines for each role. This is crucial for organizations hiring across different departments with varying recruitment processes.
Teamtailor is far more user-friendly than Zoho Recruit
Our testing revealed that Teamtailor offers a significantly more intuitive user experience compared to Zoho Recruit. Key workflows like creating job openings and customizing interview pipelines are straightforward and require minimal training. This is particularly valuable for companies with hiring managers who only occasionally use the ATS.

Advantages of Zoho Recruit

Zoho Recruit is significantly more affordable
For teams with a low number of recruiters seeking a feature-rich ATS, Zoho Recruit offers competitive pricing compared to Teamtailor. This makes it particularly appealing for small to medium-sized businesses looking to optimize their recruitment budget while still accessing comprehensive hiring tools.
Zoho Recruit has native HRIS integration
Unlike Teamtailor which lacks a native HRIS, Zoho Recruit offers seamless integration with Zoho People, its native HRIS. This integration allows for smoother transition of candidate data to employee records once hired.
Zoho Recruit offers more language options for internal teams
While Teamtailor supports 8 languages, Zoho Recruit supports 27 languages for internal teams, making it a superior choice for global organizations with diverse teams. This extensive language support enables better collaboration across international offices.

Functionality
9

Functionality

9/10

Teamtailor offers all the functionality that most SMBs will need for hiring. In addition to core ATS features (track applicants over a pipeline, create job ad), Teamtailor allows you to compare candidates side-by-side, create highly customisable career pages with a no-code wbe builder, nurture candidates by sending them email sequences and more.

8

Functionality

8/10

Zoho Recruit actually offers all the functionality that most SMBs will need for hiring. This includes fully automated communication & interview scheduling, quick application review & bulk actions, weighted scorecards and interview kits, and AI features. However, it has one major limitation: the inability to customize interview pipeline per job opening.

Ease of Use

Ease of Use

9/10

Despite its very rich functionality, Teamtailor is very user-friendly. Key workflows such as creating a job opening, customizing an interview pipeline and setting up automations are all very straightforward and intuitive.

An average SMB employee should require around an hour and minimum guidance to use the product proficiently.

2

Ease of Use

2/10

We found navigating Zoho Recruit to be very challenging, with key information like the interview pipeline being hard to find. E.g. clicking a job opening doesn't show the pipeline directly; it's hidden in another tab. Also, many functions open new pages, leading to multiple tabs and a cluttered experience.

5

Customisability

5/10

Zoho Recruit offers standard to good levels of customization for most functions like careers page, job application form, surveys, and interview scheduling. However, a major, major limitation is that you can only customize one hiring pipeline for all positions.

Ease of Setup

Ease of Setup

8/10

Teamtailor offers a free trial without needing to speak to sales. However, to make a purchase, you have to speak to sales due to the custom pricing. It takes <30mins to complete basic setup (posting first job opening, add hiring team members, configure basic hiring stages). Fully customize key features (creating custom workflows, configuring integrations, branding the platform) takes <1week.

Customer Support

4/10

We found Zoho Recruit's customer support subpar. The help center is low quality, with many articles getting more negative than positive feedback. Live chat support is available on Zoho's website, but agents aren't always super helpful and response times are slow.
