Key findings

Agree is a simple, AI-powered eSignature platform best for businesses with straightforward document signing workflows, or who need built-in payment collection, and strong security. It is incredibly easy to use and offers an attractive free tier.

That said, it’s missing some advanced features like conditional logic, custom signing orders, and deep CRM integrations. Customer support and overall functionality are also more limited compared to bigger players. If your workflow is complex, you might want something more robust.

Pros

Excellent payment collection capabilities

We found Agree's payment collection features to be outstanding. The platform automatically generates and sends invoices based on contract data, processes payments securely, and sends automated reminders to expedite collections - ideal for businesses that regularly handle paid agreements.

Exceptional ease of use

We found Agree's interface remarkably intuitive and user-friendly. The clean design puts key features exactly where you'd expect them, while helpful tooltips guide without being intrusive. The homepage clearly displays document statuses, making workflow management effortless.

Comprehensive audit trails

We found Agree's audit trail functionality particularly strong, offering detailed visibility into agreement viewing history and providing complete digital acceptance records - essential for businesses requiring robust documentation of signing processes.

Cons

No Self-Serve Customer Support

With no Help Center or Live Chat available, users are forced to rely on email support, which can be frustrating for teams needing wanting to quickly figure out an answer for themselves.

Limited Functionality

Agree is still building out its product capabilities, and currently lacks functionality commonly found in other platforms - such as custom fields, workflow automation, and the ability to handle non-PDF documents.

Basic Signing Capabilities

Agree lacks the ability to set custom signing orders, to send personalized messages to different signers and to support witnesses. This may make it unsuitable for organizations requiring structured, sequential document approvals.

Limited Integrations

Agree lacks integrations with major CRMs like HubSpot and Salesforce, and non-US accounting systems. This may be a hindrance for businesses requiring seamless workflow automation.

Agree is best for

  • Businesses with straightforward document signing workflows
  • Who need to collect payments seamlessly during document signing
  • And/or who need strong security with KYC-level identity verification

Agree is less good for

  • Businesses with complex document workflows requiring granular control over document appearance and formatting
  • Who need extensive CRM integrations and data syncing capabilities
  • And/or who need advanced features like conditional logic, formula fields, or file upload capabilities
