Google Workspace’s eSignature tool is a simple, no-frills solution best suited for users with basic signing needs. It offers a clean interface, quick setup, and smooth integration with Google Docs and Google Drive. While it lacks advanced features like custom fields, complex workflows, or an API, its minimalism makes it easy to use and accessible for most straightforward tasks. Export and security features are limited, but functional. If you’re already using Google Workspace - especially Google Drive - it can save you both setup time and money by eliminating the need for a separate eSignature platform. For more complex or high - volume use cases, though, we would not recommend it.

We found the document creation process remarkably intuitive, with comprehensive features for digital document creation and signing. The platform includes 20+ well-organized templates and leverages Gemini AI for quick document generation from simple prompts.

We found creating and sending e-signature documents to be very intuitive process - especially if you are familiar with google docs.

We found the reporting functionality to be woefully inadequate. While basic timestamps are recorded, the system lacks any meaningful analytics or insights. This makes it impossible for businesses needing to track completion rates, analyze signing patterns, or generate compliance reports.
Basic Access Controls and Permissions
We were frustrated by the rudimentary sharing and access controls. With only email-based sharing for up to 10 people and no custom roles or granular permissions, it's inadequate for teams requiring structured workflows or compliance-driven processes.
Weak Security Features

The is cause for concern surrounding the security limitations. The audit trail is basic, recording only emails and timestamps but no IP addresses. There's no password protection, ID verification, or knowledge-based authentication - meaning anyone with email access could sign documents.

No Critical Enterprise Features
We found the platform lacks essential enterprise features: no bulk sending capability, no signing order enforcement, no conditional fields, and no API access. This makes it unsuitable for organizations requiring automated workflows or high-volume document processing.
Limited Field Customization
We were disappointed by the restricted field options. With only four basic fillable fields and one auto-filled field, users can't add interactive elements like checkboxes or dropdowns. This severely limits the functionality for complex document workflows.
