Userpilot comes close to being a one-stop shop for product analytics. It covers a wide range of features—from granular, event-driven user data to product and UX insights like session replays and surveys. While some of its most powerful tools sit behind higher-tier plans (and others, like heatmaps, are temporarily deprecated), it still offers a rich feature set that can track most, if not all, of the metrics your team needs.

Pros
Outstanding Core Functionality
Superior Session Replay Features
Responsive Customer Support
Intuitive Site Navigation
We found day-to-day usage remarkably straightforward, with an intuitive left-hand navigation panel and pre-configured dashboards for key metrics. This makes it especially valuable for teams wanting to quickly access and understand their analytics.
Flexible Data Export Capabilities
Feature unavailable
Cons
Limited Dashboard Customization
Dated Visual Interface
The interface feels noticeably outdated compared to competitors. While easy to navigate, the dated design aesthetics could impact user engagement and satisfaction, particularly for teams used to more modern analytics interfaces.
Limited Real-Time Dashboard Updates
We found the real-time update functionality basic. Users must manually refresh dashboards to see new data, which could be problematic for teams requiring immediate insights for time-sensitive decision-making.
Heatmap Implementation
Despite being advertised, we couldn't locate the heatmap feature during our testing. Further inquiry revealed that they had deprecated the feature for further improvement before relaunch.
No Offline Data Capture
Cumbersome Chrome extension
Userpilot's Chrome extension which allows labelling of events and creating in-app guides and highlights can be cumbersome to use
