What Stackfix does
We help businesses deploy frontier AI to cut costs and grow revenue. We focus on asset-heavy companies: manufacturers, distributors and operators.
We start with a free audit, on site, to find and quantify the biggest AI opportunities. Management then pick projects by ROI, and we build custom agents and systems on top of our core modules.
About us
Paddy worked at Google and founded Jukedeck, an AI music company acquired by TikTok. Tom founded and sold an HR software company in 2023 and has more than nine years of experience building AI systems.
We are backed by Seedcamp, Chalfen Ventures, TSIC and helloworld, with angel investors including Matt Clifford and Alice Bentinck, co-founders of Entrepreneur First, and engineers from DeepMind.
The role
As a Deployment Strategist, you’ll spend most of your day with customers, often on site at their factories, warehouses and depots. You’ll watch how the work actually gets done, separate what they ask for from what they need, and find the problems with a clear commercial payoff. Then you’ll turn what you learn into better user experiences and working tools, built with AI on Stackfix’s system. You’ll work with engineers on integrations and delivery, then help customers adopt the changes. You don’t need to be a software engineer. You do need to think clearly, learn quickly and care about the details.
What you will do
- Understand the customer: run conversations, observe workflows and map how the work is done.
- Find the valuable problem: distinguish the immediate request from the underlying need and prioritise improvements with a clear commercial benefit.
- Shape the experience: design user journeys, sketch interfaces, build prototypes and test them with the people who will use them.
- Build with AI: use AI on Stackfix’s system to turn ideas into working tools, then test and refine them.
- Iterate with customers: demonstrate changes, support adoption, watch how they’re used and keep improving them.
- Work with engineers: explain customer needs clearly and work through integrations and technical constraints together.
A typical day
You might begin with an operations team, watching how they handle incoming orders and asking where work gets stuck. Later, you could test a simpler workflow with a customer, build the change with AI, and open a pull request for an engineer to review.
Customer conversations are the largest part of the role. Building and shipping turn those conversations into something useful.
Who this role is for
- You’re great with customers. You can sit with an operations manager or a warehouse team, earn their trust quickly, and ask the questions that get to how the work really happens.
- You can find and size a problem. You tell the request apart from the underlying need, and you can put a number on it: hours lost, quotes missed, margin leaked.
- You design with taste. You notice confusing interfaces, sketch better journeys, and turn an idea into a prototype a customer can try within days.
- You build with AI. You’re comfortable using AI coding tools to make real changes to the product, and you can ship them as pull requests that engineers review.
- You iterate from feedback. You put things in front of users, watch what happens, and keep improving until it works for them.
- You think clearly and communicate precisely, in conversation and in writing, with customers and with engineers.
- You can show evidence of outstanding work, whether in a job, a project, a business or another sustained pursuit.
What you get
- Real ownership: decide what gets built, ship it yourself, and see customers use it.
- Direct customer exposure: learn how businesses operate and see the impact of your work.
- Close collaboration: work with experienced founders and engineers in our Holborn office.
- Room to grow: develop your judgement across customer discovery, UX, AI building and commercial delivery.
